I am a Minnesota farm girl, born and bred.  I grew up on a dairy farm in southern Minnesota with my parents and four siblings. We learned at an early age to work hard and appreciate what we had. I spent a lot of time outside with the animals, and helping around the farm.

I got my first camera when I was in junior high school. I saved birthday and babysitting money to buy an 'expensive camera', and I fell in love. Taking photos has always been part of who I am.

I am married to my wonderful and very supportive husband Dave, and I have two nearly grown children. And while I've upgraded my camera equipment many times since junior high, I still love the craft. I've been photographing various school and sporting events, community events and groups consistently now for several years, but portrait photography is really where I find the most joy. Being able to truly connect with another person or group of people in their element through portraits is an amazing experience. I love to be able to share that joy with my clients.

Ultimately, it's about the story. The story that portraits tell, the memories they hold and the moments they capture.
